In order to meet the academic needs of all the students in the Canton Public School District, the board of trustees has approved a High School Equivalency Program that assists students aged 16-21 with passing the GED assessment. This program will also prepare students to explore career options and enter the workforce. This is an alternative education program that is separate from the traditional school/classroom environment. An Individualized Instruction Plan (IIP) will be developed upon entry by the HSEP administrative team. Evaluation of the students’ progress will be conducted at least every forty-five (45) days. Detailed behavior and academic records will be maintained.
